Description

 							Carnivals the world over seem to focus on one central element (asides the dressing up like
  lunatics) and
that is rhythm. This sample collection provides some basic instruments for creating
  full percussive rhythm
sections (leaning very much toward the Samba band setup) to go Carnival
  crazy. The loops are split into four
tempo folders (110bpm, 130bpm, 150bpm and 160bpm) with all 
  lying in the 4/4 time signature except the 160bpm
loops, which are in 6/8 time. Some of the loops 
  have a bar or two extra left on to allow cymbal and drum ringing
to decay fully.
  
  The samples were created by delving into some recent percussion recording multitracks
and
  sampling off the best hits. Once chopped out, processed and labelled the hits were dropped into
  the
‘Percussion Hits’ folder. These were then used to program full percussion sections in Nuendo, 
  which
were then given a little EQ, compression and extra room ambience before being chopped into 
  mixed and individual
instrument loops. The loop sequence numbers are a guide to which were made 
  together (e.g. all the 02s, all the
03s, etc.), but mixing them up will produce some even richer 
  cross rhythms and accenting.
